The IoT Security Institute Jobs, Internship and Scholarships Initiative is a free service that provides a platform for those seeking placement opportunities to register their interest and promote their skills to an employer base seeking the next generation of upcoming cyber professionals.

"All we seem to read in the media is how we have a global shortage of cyber security professionals.
Yet, a great number of up and coming cyber security professionals find it difficult to secure an entry-level position. This is particularly the case for women looking to enter the industry.
Certainly, internships and scholarships can provide a means by which to bridge this gap. This IoTSI initiative provides a platform for extending the conversation between candidates and employers."

What Is an Internship?

An internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student’s field of study or career interest. An internship gives a student the opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. It offers the employer the opportunity to bring new ideas and energy into the workplace, develop talent and potentially build a pipeline for future full-time employees. A quality internship:

  • Consists of a part-time or full-time work schedule that includes no more than 25% clerical or administrative duties.
  • Provides a clear job/project description for the work experience.
  • Orients the student to the organization, its culture and proposed work assignment(s).
  • Helps the student develop and achieve learning goals.
  • Offers regular feedback to the student intern.

If you are interested in obtaining an internship/scholarship/job update your profile via the Seeker portal.

Employers seeking to onboard interns/employees please register and post your position description via the Employer Control Panel.

Organizations seeking employees are able to create a company account and subsequently post job listings to the platform. This is a free service and is totally self-managed by the organization.
