In addition to providing a context for “trust” in the personal data protection space, Nathan shares his insight on the deployment of IoT technologies for smart cities and critical infrastructure (where vulnerabilities abound if there is a failure to design with trust in mind).   
Nathan refers to the Edelman Trust Barometer, which reveals that consumer trust has changed markedly in the last year and that people tend to trust the relationships within their control. This is really interesting when we think about the ways in which personal data is leveraged within the digital economy.
